CANTON – Raptors 905 (22-7) won its 11th consecutive road game this season, 93-86, against the Canton Charge (16-12) Tuesday night. Brady Heslip scored 22 points for the 905 while Quinn Cook scored a game-high 32 points for the Charge. Raptors 905 conclude the month of January with a 10-2 mark, improving on last month’s 9-3 record and establishing a new franchise record.
Raptors 905 began the game on an 11-0 run and never looked back, leading by as many as 28 points throughout and by double digits from the 9:22 mark in the first quarter until 1:06 left in the fourth. Canton made a comeback attempt in a strong fourth quarter that included a 26-6 run that cut the game within a basket at 89-86 with 44.5 seconds remaining. An Edy Tavares dunk on the ensuing possession with 19.0 seconds remaining staved off the comeback.
All five 905 starters scored in double figures, led by Heslip’s 22 points with six assists and two steals in 36 minutes. Edy Tavares posted a double-double of 11 points and 14 rebounds with seven blocks in 28 minutes. Bruno Caboclo scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds in 29 minutes on assignment from Toronto.
